Here I hope to address some topics pertinent to Mom’s (Dad’s, Grandma’s, anyone) schooling at home. As a relatively normal person, I know I always am uplifted by learning how other people have managed to do things well. There are those that seem to have all the answers, are always calm, cool and collected, always have a clean house, have healthy nutritious meals on the table each evening, are completely attentive to their successful marriage, and have children who exhibit model behavior at all times. I shall warn you now—I am not one of those people!
So, what makes me qualified to do this? If you take into consideration that I have lots of kids, have experience with every grade level from birth to high school and have been “officially” homeschooling for 12 years, I feel I may have learned a thing or two that might be helpful either because I did something right, or because I did something completely stupid. Also, I have picked up a lot of good ideas from others that I never would have thought of on my own. Through my own, and others, personal experiences I will share what I have learned through articles like the ones listed below.
